Large-scale project with ENERCON E-175 EP5 E2 totals 175 MW
ENERCON GmbH and RBI Raiffeisen Bauträger- und Immobilien GmbH have signed a contract for the supply and installation of 25 wind turbines with a total capacity of 175 MW for a new large-scale wind energy project in Lorup. The E-175 EP5 E2 turbines will be deployed in Lorup.
The new contract builds directly on the successfully completed repowering project in 2024/2025. As part of this, 17 old turbines were replaced by 10 modern E-175 EP5 E1 turbines.

Three sites – one shared objective
The new wind turbines will be distributed across three sites:
• Mammoor: 9 turbines(63 MW)
• Hassmoor: 12 turbines(84 MW)
• Glümmel: 4 turbines(28 MW)
In addition to the construction of the turbines with a hub height of 162metres, the project also includes the construction of a substation and thefoundation works.
In total, the project will achieve an installed capacity of 175 MW, thereby making a further significant contribution to scaling up wind energy.Plans are already underway to expand the project with six additional turbinesof our flagship model, the E-175 EP5.
“ENERCON’s strong performance has convinced us that we have the right partner at our side for the next phase of expansion,” emphasises Alexander Hackmann, Managing Director of RBI Raiffeisen Bauträger u. Immobilien GmbH.
“We highly appreciate RBI’s renewed trust – this project and the partnership are of central importance to us: we are continuing to develop together and actively drive innovation forward. Many thanks to everyone involved, as well as to Revento for the planning and implementation,” says Lennard von Dollen, ENERCON Sales Manager Germany North
Construction scheduled to start in 2027
Construction work is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2027. The project once again relies on the high-performance E-175 platform, which isspecifically designed for large onshore projects and further strengthens thecompetitive position in the market.
Thanks to the project team
Special thanks go to all colleagues involved who have made this project success possible. Their commitment and expertise play a key role in driving theenergy transition forward.

What has characterised ENERCON Service since the very beginning?

ENERCON achieved the technological breakthrough in the 1990s with the legendary E-40/500 kW. The gearless drive concept introduced for the first time with this wind turbine type still characterises ENERCON wind energy converters to this day. It also forms the basis for the new top-of-the-range model E-175 EP5 that ENERCON is currently rolling out in series production.

Following the successful fulfilment of the 750 MW turbine delivery agreements in the first phase, the companies have taken another step towards completing the 1,000 MW project by signing a delivery agreement for the remaining 250 MW capacity.
