Improvement of AEP and reference yield of up to 2.8 percent. ENERCON CEO draws positive interim conclusion at WindEurope.
ENERCON’s announced yield increase of up to 2.8 percent for the E-175 EP5 E2 has been very well received by customers and interested parties. ‘We are receiving exceptionally positive feedback,’ says ENERCON CEO Udo Bauer, drawing a positive interim conclusion from the WindEurope trade fair in Madrid (running until 23 April).

The international market launch of the flagship model with a rated power of 7.0 MW and a rotor diameter of 175 meters is currently at the center of ENERCON’s presentation at the summit of the international wind industry in the Spanish capital.
The E-175 EP5 E2 is one of the most powerful and highest-yielding onshore wind turbines currently available and was recently awarded the Gold Medal at the ‘Turbines of the Year’ award by the renowned industry magazine Windpower Monthly.
The E-175 EP5 E2 is also the central pillar of ENERCON’s market strategy and the core of the solution portfolio with which ENERCON supports customers in the realization of renewable energy projects. Effective immediately, an increase in annual energy production (AEP) and reference yield of up to 2.8 percent is available for the E2 – depending on the specific site conditions.
‘The E-175 EP5 E2 is exactly the product the market is asking for,’ says Udo Bauer. ‘It tops the list of the most frequently approved turbine types for new permits in Germany and is increasingly becoming the decisive factor for yield maximization for more and more customers internationally. With the yield increase, we are offering them additional options. In all of our core markets, the E-175 EP5 E2 is the focus of our customers’ project planning.’
ENERCON has already concluded supply contracts for the E-175 EP5 E2 in Germany, Turkey, Canada, the Netherlands, Austria, Lithuania, and Portugal.
