News and information from all corners of the ENERCON world

As part of ENERCON’s identity as a provider of solutions for the connected energy ecosystem, it is essential to remove obstacles that stand in the way of successfully implementing customer projects. In some regions, for example, there are complex height and distance limitations that prevent the use of standard towers from the product portfolio. Thanks to ENERCON’s flexible tower development, customers in such cases – assuming a positive economic assessment – can rely on competitive alternatives, as demonstrated by the example of the new 120meter hybrid steel tower for the flagship E175 EP5 E2 model.

At the Janneby wind farm, project partners DenkerWulf and ENERCON have commissioned the first wind turbine. Since this week, the E-175 EP5 E2 has been feeding electricity into the grid.

ENERCON and logistics partner Rhenus are using the new, innovative push barge “Rhenus Berlin I” for the first time to transport wind turbine components via inland waterways. Last weekend, steel tower sections for ENERCON wind turbines of types E-138 EP3 and E-115 EP3 were loaded onto the 100-metre-long vessel at the Port of Emden.
