We are currently looking for a Grid Integration Engineer for our Montreal office. The person will be responsible for all aspects related to wind farm interconnection requirements and grid code compliance of ENERCON projects in North America and will report to the Regional Manager Grid Integration. The role is diverse and challenging, covering multiple jurisdictions as well as many aspects of ENERCONs value chain.

Votre mission

  • Analyze grid code requirements in respect of performance of ENERCON products
  • Review and edit grid integration related contractual documents
  • Participate in contract negotiations and project meetings with regard to grid integration topics
  • Technical risk assessment & mitigation prior to contract signature
  • Respond to inquiries from customers, system operators or consultants regarding wind turbine capabilities
  • Prepare model data packages and associated support to system operators and customers
  • Organize and deliver internal and external grid integration workshops
  • Represent ENERCON in grid code and wind industry working groups and technical committees
  • Create requests to the Research and Development department for modification of existing or development of new products, based on market requirements
  • Participate in fairs, conferences and workshops

Votre profil

  • University degree in electrical or industrial engineering
  • 2 - 5 years relevant professional experience
  • Experience in the wind industry and/or with a grid operator is an asset < Experience in the wind industry and/or with a grid operator is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
  • Knowledge of the German language is an asset
  • High level of MS Office proficiency
  • Strong professional ethic and rigor
  • Critical thinking and Solution Oriented
  • Commercial Awareness: Good understanding of what is needed to be profitable, successful, and efficient for client
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
  • Knowledge of the German language is an asset
