ENERCON Management reshuffle

ENERCON CSO Stefan Lütkemeyer to leave the company at his own request / New CSO dual leadership team to be responsible for all customer-related functions in the future.

ENERCON is reorganising the customer-related functions at the management level. In the future, the Chief Sales Officer (CSO) function will be responsible for all functions that are in direct contact with customers and, in addition to Sales/After Sales, will also be managing Project Management and Service including the Regions. This reorganisation is taking place because ENERCON CSO Stefan Lütkemeyer will be leaving the company at the end of November 2022 at his own request. The reason for this is Lütkemeyer’s decision to take on a new professional challenge and to start his own business in the wind energy sector.

‘We look at Stefan Lütkemeyer’s leaving with great regret but respect his personal decision,’ says ENERCON CEO Dr Jürgen Zeschky. ‘We would like to thank him for his extraordinary commitment and the great loyalty he has shown in trustingly giving advice and support to the company for nearly three decades. ENERCON owes him a great deal. We wish him every success in his future endeavours, both professional and private.’

Stefan Lütkemeyer says the decision was not easy for him. ‘I have many exciting, eventful years behind me in a successful company with great co-workers. I will always remain committed to the company and I’m very grateful to have been part of an unparalleled corporate development. Our branch of industry is becoming more and more important. After troublesome years, the prospects of ENERCON and renewable energies, particularly in the German market, appear to be more than positive. I would like to use the opportunity and venture one more change in order to build something new in the renewables sector. In doing so, I hope I’ll be able to continue my good collaboration with ENERCON and wish all of us a lot of success in dealing with current and future challenges.’

Stefan Lütkemeyer will be resigning from his office as ENERCON CSO as of 31 March 2022 and will be supporting the company with special tasks until the end of November. This is also to ensure a controlled transfer of responsibilities.

The reshuffle of the CSO function as part of the succession arrangement will take place in the context of the remodelling of ENERCON into a consistently project-driven business. The objective is to be an agile, flexible, responsive and always customer-oriented service provider that delivers first-rate performance in managing projects and provides its customers with top-notch quality. The new CSO function will therefore be responsible for the customer-related processes end-to-end, including the profit and loss account, and carry more weight and responsibility within the corporate organisation. ENERCON has named the equal-ranking dual leadership team consisting of Ulrich Schulze Südhoff and Frederic Maenhaut as Stefan Lütkemeyer’s successors. Up to now, they held the positions of Regional Head Central & Northern Europe (CNE) and Western Europe (WE), respectively. A succession arrangement for the Regional Head function is being developed.
