As a Metal Worker specialising in Engineering Design you create steel and metal structures and maintain them. Installing and testing of hydraulic and pneumatic components belong to your task just as much as the manufacture of metal and steel structures. Precision work as a Metal Worker is critically important - because ultimately the finished components must also match up during assembly and meet the exacting safety requirements. The work involved is increasingly becoming easier through machinery, which however demands a specific level of technical understanding.
